Animated Series of PUBG Game will be Created, Produced by Netflix's Castlevania Anime Producer

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds or better known as PUBG is rumored to be adapted as an animated series. The reason is, the series will be worked on by Adi Shankar, Executive Producer of the Castlevania series.

Krafton Inc. recently announced its partnership with Adi Shankar to work on an animated series based on the PUBG IP. Through his press conference, Shankar said that he was very grateful and excited to have been given the opportunity to bring the world of PUBG to life because Shankar is a loyal player of the game.



“As a player, I have been playing the game since its release in 2017,” said Shankar. “I am so grateful for the trust that Krafton has placed in me as a filmmaker and I can't wait to work on this project with them.”



CH Kim as CEO of Krafton Inc. also added that his partnership with Adi Shankar is a new step to expand the reach of the PUBG franchise as a multimedia franchise. "We are looking forward to working with Shankar on exploring and bringing the world of PUBG to life for fans around the world," he said.



Adi Shankar himself is a filmmaker who is quite famous for his projects that seem dark, such as the Castlevania series on Netflix and the Dredd film. In addition to this animated series, PUBG itself has previously released a short live-action film entitled Ground Zero and a documentary series entitled Mysteries Unknown: Birth of the Battlegrounds.
