GRIT, New Cowboy Themed Battle Royale Game / World Wild West Announced

The Battle Royale genre apparently hasn't run out of ideas in 2021. Especially with names like Apex Legends, Fortnite and Call of Duty Warzone that are still strong, there is a lot of motivation that surrounds developers to continue to explore the potential of this genre.

Taking the example of Team Grit with its game which is also titled Grit, they seem to want to absorb some inspiration from the success of Red Dead Redemption. Where is the game by Rockstar, as we all know, has become a form of representation of how the wild west or cowboy theme can be more realistic in a video game.

Game Grit itself certainly didn't appear in order to shift the RDR franchise. Especially from the new RDR 2 series, which until now is still loved by lovers of open world games. However, here Team Grit longs to complement the existence of a gaming experience that you may have thought about in your dreams, but have never really been brought up.

Yes, Grit is a Battle Royale game. And you will battle royale in this game like a cowboy in a wild west world. Unlike the Gun Rush mode from Red Dead Online, the battle royale side in Grit is described as much broader, and can be easily matched with the PUBG game. Especially, when discussing the contents of the 100 players, each of which can be played in solo, duo, and squad modes.

From there, Grit also doesn't want to act like a PUBG tailor. There are a number of fresh mechanics with wild west theme hooks introduced. For example, the existence of horses and trains as the main forms of vehicles that players can interact with as well as control.

While in terms of loot too, Grit introduced a unique system whose concept seemed to be adapted from a poker card game. Each weapon or other loot item that you pick up will usually appear in the form of a playing card with 4 iconic symbols. From there, you can match the symbols or numbers from the loot card to get additional benefits in the form of perks to further support your character's gameplay performance.

Even though it has the theme of the cowboy era, Grit also presents more than 20 different types of firearms with different specifications or sounds that you can use to fight. Everything is projectile based. So you have to learn or recognize how the bullets fired by each weapon can get to the target.

Game Grit itself still doesn't include information regarding its release window. Team Grit still only announces that this game is planned to be released on the PC platform via Steam with early access. Even though it won't be a free to play game, Grit has now started to provide a free public playtest registration tool on its Steam page if you want the chance to try it.
